Security Accounted for Half of 2016 IT Budget Priorities

Half of global IT professionals’ budget priorities for 2016 were directly related to security, according to Tech Pro Research’s IT budget survey. Forty percent of respondents listed network security as an IT budget priority, 36 percent listed disaster recovery and backup, and 30 percent listed managing risk. Other security-related priorities within the IT budget included ensuring compliance (28 percent), managing mobile users and devices (20 percent) and Big Data and analytics implementations (15 percent).
