One-Third of British Firms Buy Bitcoin in Anticipation of Ransomware Attack

The fear of ransomware is growing. In mid-2016, thisstudy found that one-third of British firms had purchased Bitcoin just in case they needed to pay off ransomware attackers. More than 35 percent of large firms reported being willing to pay as much as £136,235.44 to unlock critical files.
