‘Spectre,’ 'Meltdown' CPU Flaws Allow Attackers to Steal Sensitive Data (Update)

On January 3, 2018, researchers released the details and proofs of concept on two major security flaws in the microprocessors found inside nearly all of the world’s computers and smartphones. Researchers termed the flaws “Spectre” and “Meltdown.”
